We invite everyone in the UK researching any aspect of hepatitis B virus infection to join us at the 1st UK Hepatitis B Virus Meeting. We aim to encourage collaborative approaches among key research groups in the UK working on HBV infection, and to facilitate interactions between scientists, clinicians, and diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies.
The meeting will run from the afternoon of 9th October to lunchtime on 10th October 2023.
We particularly encourage early career scientists and PhD students to present their latest data in this supportive, relaxed environment. We require only a title, not a full abstract. If you wish to contribute a presentation, please indicate the title for your talk on the preferences form. All submissions will be offered an oral presentation slot (10 minutes presentation with 3 minutes allocated for questions).
We are delighted to announce that Professor Patrick Marcellin, University of Paris, will deliver the keynote lecture.
The meeting will be organised into themed sessions. When indicating the title of your presentation, we would be grateful if you can select an appropriate session for your research from the following topics:
Clinical management
Diagnostics
Epidemiology
Hepatitis D virus
Hepatocellular carcinoma
Immunology
Molecular virology
Prevention
Therapeutics
WHO elimination programme
